Share your ideas and time!

Do you have ideas of experiments that might be fun? Do you have organizational skills that put Martha Stewart to shame? Are you a scientist who is absolutely dying to show everyone how cool your work is? Do you tinker with tools or can spot an Osprey a mile away? Are you a local business that would like to join in on the fun? Then Contact Us. All help, in whatever form is welcome and greatly appreciated!

Volunteers:

We run on volunteers!

To continue to provide high quality programs, we are looking for program committee members to help us come up with ideas and gather resources in the early stages of program planning. You don’t need to be an engineer, scientist, or astrophysicist, just a passionate and willing volunteer! We have positions open in the Exploration Club, the STEAM Team, The S-Games and in our Mentorship Program.  We are also looking for help with our fundraising events.  These commitments can be short term — a few months at most — and often require a few hours each week leading up to the event. Send us an email and let us know who you are and how you’d like to help!

Mentors:

Not just for High School students – do you have a burning desire to help plan the awesomest Science Fair ever? Want to mentor a few curious kids in building volcanoes or show them how to build machines or program a computer? Want to help us build a Myth-Busters-type exhibit or have some other ideas that we just might not be cool enough think about? And, get community service hours for your time! Send us an email and let us know who you are and how you’d like to help!

Presenters:

Have you engineered bridges? Or maybe forecast the weather? Do you hold a few patents in your name? We welcome you to inspire our community and be a real life connection of how STEAM is the groundwork of a future career and a life-long love of learning!

We are inviting adult community members to share how you use STEAM in your chosen profession, study, or hobby in one of our programs or at the Scituate Science Spectacular in April. We are open to your ideas and can accommodate many display requirements.  Please contact us with your information and interest!
